Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful device This is a fantastic device. When my Ultra garden is going at maximum capacity I must add water every day. With this automatic waterer I can fill the bottle once or twice a week. It is very easy to set up if you read and follow the instructions. Find out if you need the riser ring or not and make sure the hard tubing going into your garden goes to the bottom of the reservoir. Also, make sure the hard tubing is perpendicular to the table top (it should not be lying on it's side.) Finally, the garden and the waterer should be on the same surface. It is very difficult to set this up incorrectly. A great purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drip, drip, FLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please think twice about purchasing this item. The concept is good, the actual functionality is not. I've had two now. The first one didn't work, for whatever reason so they sent a replacement. I got the 2nd one to work, but then it wouldn't STOP working! It's supposed to stop letting the water flow somehow when there is enough in the Aerogarden. That wasn't the case for me! It kept releasing water into the Aerogarden until it overflowed all over the cabinet it sits on and the flooring underneath. WHAT A MESS! Thankfully, I was home when it happened and alerted by my cat who was mesmerized by the dripping water!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Couldn't Travel From Home and Keep my Garden Going i bought three and use all three. I didn't think they were necessary as i 'tend' to my garden every morning. However, my tomatoes are growing like crazy and sucking down the H20 like crazy. Am going out of town for just 4 days and my plants use one of these reservoirs in 5 days. I don't have to worry about going out of town knowing my plants have their water. What i don't like - i wish the bottom part of the reservoir had a handle or grip on it because moving it is cumbersome and very slippery plastic and the water reservoir ends up on the ground and i get showered with water. I COULD be improved by adding a handle or grip for the lower part of the apparatus

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great but costs four times what it should. I'm writing this review because aerogrow keeps sending me emails asking me to do it. The reservoir works great, I've had no problems with it, it's a really useful thing, but you are essentially paying almost 40 bucks for a 1 gallon jug, a one-way valve, and some aquarium tubing. The design is just unique enough that I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to make one at home- I'm afraid of a gallon of water spilling out all over my floor while I'm out of town- which is probably the idea. So in synopsys, it's a smart little thing that does exactly what they say it's going to do and I've never had it fail on me but I felt like I was getting ripped off paying for it. I just didn't want to keep asking my neighbor to come by and water my plants when I leave for more than four or five days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job well Full disclosure: The AeroVoir is not high-tech... it is a bottle, a stand, and a tube. It works using hydrostatic pressure, which is the same way siphons work. That is why it is important that you use the correct stand for your specific model. That said, it works as advertised. I love it because you can tell approximately how much water you have until the need to refill by looking at the bottle. Unfortunately, even the digital monitors don't give you the water level of the tank... Also, the bottle part is the same one-gallon bottle sold separately. You can even pull it out, half-full, and use it to water other things. My only comment is the price, which is a lot to pay for a bottle, a stand, and a tube. Though, would I buy another? Yes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but a little confusing to set up This was exactly what I was looking for - I needed something to allow me to go on vacation for a week and not worry about my tomato plants drying up and dying. My only complaint is that the instructions about the extra base are confusing - I'm pretty sure that I was not supposed to use it for my AeroGarden, given the model type, but by not using the extra base the water level was below the "more water" line, so it was constantly flashing and some of the leaves dried out. I added the base, and now it's slightly above the max water line, but it seems fine. Other than that, I'm perfectly happy with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, though inconsistent I've had one of these for over a year, and I've liked how it keeps my a 7 pod garden watered longer without my having to refill it. Based solely on this one, I would've given it more stars. I got four more so I could hook two each up to my farm garden bowls. Two of the new bottles easily drain into the bowls, and two do not. I say it's the bottles, as opposed to the stands, because I've swapped the bottles around into different positions on each of the stands, and the same bottles stay full while the other bottles drain, no matter where I put them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I hope my plants don’t die with this I bought this to aid in watering my plants both while I’m home and when I’m away. Took a bit to get it going as I tested it while I was home and it worked fine. Hopefully it works and doesn’t run out of water for the week I’m away. I’m hoping it works when my tomato plants are mature as it took a lot to water them almost daily before. I only have three stars as I haven’t tested how long it works for. And the cost. I live in Canada and by the time shipping and exchange where added the cost was over $100 which is quite pricey. I wish they sold it at the local canadian tire store.
