Lightly Fried Sage Leaves

Try this delicious recipe for a new take on sage leaves.

Sage has a bold herbal flavor that works great in heavier, winter dishes. Some of the most common pairings you will find is sage with chicken or butternut squash, but have you ever had fried sage leaves? They are incredibly tasty and are great eaten on their own, or added to other dishes such as pasta, soups, salads and poultry! Ingredients: 

Fresh Sage Leaves

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Sea Salt 

Directions:

Coat the bottom of a skillet with olive oil and heat until shimmering. Add the leaves in a single layer, leaving room between each. Watch them crisp up, then gently remove them with a slotted spoon. This will be quick! About 30 seconds to 1 minute. 

Place them on a paper towel, and sprinkle with salt. Transfer to a serving platter or use them in your next meal!
