Holiday Movie Popcorn

Tasty twist to a classic!

The holidays are here! We all have our favorite seasonal movies to bring us scares, love, and magic. As there is a movie for every holiday, there is a popcorn flavor. Pair a zesty-spicy popcorn with your go-to spooky movie. Or try a savory rosemary & thyme flavor with that rom-com you watch every November. And there's a sweet cinnamon sugar popcorn to cozy up while watching that magical winter film.

Cilantro, Sriracha & Lime Popcorn

  • 2 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1½ tsp grated lime zest
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • ¼ cup Sriracha
  • 5 tbsp melted butter
  • 16 cups freshly made popcorn

Mix the melted butter, sriracha, and lime juice together.

Then in a large bowl, drizzle hot popcorn with butter mix and toss.

Lastly, sprinkle the chopped cilantro on top and season with salt.

Rosemary & Thyme Popcorn

  • 2 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup kernels to make 8 cups freshly made popcorn
  • ¼ cup olive oil

First, grind the rosemary, thyme, and salt in mortar & pestle or with a spice mill.

In a large mixing bowl, add popcorn and drizzle or spray with olive oil (mix to get even coating).

Next, sprinkle some of the herb salt and mix once more. Add more to taste.

Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 8 cups freshly made popcorn

Start with mixing the sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in bowl or measuring cup. Next, sprinkle the mixed ingredients over your bowl of popcorn and toss until evenly coated. Optional- drizzle or spray oil/ butter on popcorn before sprinkling dry ingredients to help it stick better.
