Feta Cheese with Herbs
A quick and simple appetizer is always good to have on hand. This recipe is ideal for any time of the year and requires ZERO cooking. Best of all, it will help you use up those delicious herbs growing in your AeroGarden. The preparation couldn’t be easier.
This recipe is just an assembly of ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to put together. You can even assemble it the night before to allow the herbs to infuse into the cheese. You can use any combination of your favorite herbs for this recipe. Feta is a strong-flavored cheese and can easily hold up to hearty herbs like rosemary, thyme, oregano, and sage.
1/2 pound block feta cheese
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh chopped herbs
Place feta on a large plate.
Drizzle olive oil over the top.
Sprinkle the herbs on the feta.
Serve the feta with baguette slices, crackers, sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, cured meat, etc.
Store leftover feta in the refrigerator. The herbs and oil will continue to infuse into the cheese and enhance the flavor.
