It’s that time again and we’re here to offer up a delicious brunch for Dad. He deserves it. This summer themed deliciousness requires a few ingredients listed below.    

Basil Avocado Toast:  
Sliced bread
Fresh AeroGarden Cherry Tomatoes
Fresh AeroGarden Basil
1/2 an Avocado - smashed
2 tbsp Feta Cheese
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
A pinch of salt and pepper  

Mix the smashed avocado with the lemon juice and spread on your toast. Halve your cherry tomatoes and place those on top along with feta cheese that has been cubed or crumbled. Add small basil leaves, or slice them to sprinkle on top. A dash of salt and pepper to taste, and your avocado toast is ready to be munched on.
Now, on to the drink portion of the menu!

Basil Grapefruit Mimosas  
What you’ll need:
Basil Simple Syrup made with your Homegrown Basil
Prosecco
Grapefruit Juice  

To prepare the simple syrup simply mix 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar on medium/high heat on the stove until the sugar has dissolved.   Remove from heat and add a small bunch of fresh basil. Let sit for an hour, then strain and place in the fridge to cool.   Once the syrup is sufficiently cooled, add two tablespoons to a glass and mix in the grapefruit juice and Prosecco.

Place these goodies on a tray and surprise dad with a delicious treat to get his day started.
