Can I grow herbs and lettuce in the same garden or are different conditions needed? Similarly - does arugula need different conditions than Kale or other lettuces?
Hey Amy, sorry for the very long delay of response. You might already know the answer by this time, but just in case: Yes you can grow herbs and lettuces together in your garden. Almost all variety of lettuces do great in our AeroGardens, including kale and arugula. They all work on the same setting. We have struggled with spinach which is interesting, they must not like hydroponics as much. When you do grow herbs with your lettuces, just keep in mind that if any herbs (mostly basil) grow faster, then make sure to trim them so they are not covering the light to the rest of the plants. Hope that helps!
