I have been growing a Red Heirloom tomato seed pod kit for almost one year. I love the flavor.
I wanted to try this smaller cherry tomato seed pod kit. What a disappointment. NONE of the tomatoes tasted sweet like the Red Heirloom. I am ordering a third Red Heirloom seed pod kit today. (Posted over a month ago)
Customer Service Response:
The Mighty Mini Tomatoes tend to be more tart than sweet. Sounds like you have found your favorite with the Red Heirloom variety! Thanks for giving the Mighty Minis a try.

I started three pods of Mighty Minis along with four pods of lettuce in an Extra LED. I had no germination problems and was amazed how quickly the plants began to bloom! I pinched off the first bloom truss on each plant so they could grow extra leaves but more blooms came along right away. Shaking the plants gave me excellent pollination. I kept their garden at about 75 degrees F; the tomatoes set at least 30 to 40 little fruits each, which took about 2 and a half months to mature. Being determinate plants, now that the fruits are ripening the plants are pretty worn out, but I am satisfied with the crop. They have a strong, tangy tomato flavor, not sweet like many modern cherry tomatoes. Frankly, that's how I like them! I will certainly continue to grow these in future. Harvesting ripe tomatoes in April is something I'd like to experience again! (Posted over a month ago)

I've now grown this plant three seasons with various results, all dependent upon my effort: Lesson #1: get a cheap battery powered toothbrush and use it daily to "be the bee". Lesson #2: take the instructional video about pruning your plant seriously. Lesson #3: pay attention to the level of water in your garden; it will not tolerate being thirsty. I have totally enjoyed the experience of watching these tomatoes grow, That's at least half of the fun if not more with the aerogarden. Everything has worked as promised. They do seem to take awhile to ripen and as someone else mentioned it may be also because we keep our home fairly cool and it's been an extra cold winter. I have the same problem tho of these tasting bitter. Anyone know if it is the nutrients unbalanced or what I may have done? I just replaced air stone and they are all of a sudden blooming all over the place so I was wondering if the aeration could cause the bitterness(?) All new to this type of gardening but I love the concept of hydroponics and I also love clipping some great lettuce for my smoothie whenever I need it. (Posted over a month ago)

These mighty mini tomato plants are growing great. The plants are a very deep green color and the flowers are already blooming and closing. I'm shaking them lightly every day to pollinate them . The fruit has not grown yet but I can't wait to see them. Several questions
1. How do I prune these?
2. This plant has such a rich dark green color can I juice the greens from this plants? (Posted over a month ago)

I'm so glad I bought this seed kit. The seeds sprouted quickly and grew just as fast. Then came the waiting. I had lots of blooms but nothing seemed to be happening. I was shaking the plants as instructed but it seemed to take forever for the first tomato to appear. THEN I finally got a few tomatoes and they didn't want to ripen. I realized that, while my wife and I prefer a cooler living room, the plants prefer slightly warmer temperatures. Once the room was warmed more consistently the tomatoes started to ripen. I have 3 plants right now and I'm sure there are over 30 tomatoes between them! (Posted over a month ago)

These plants just jumped out of the pods and grew quickly. Right now I have 7 plants all around 6" tall, one of which is producing fruit. There are lots of blooms so will try pruning the tops a bit. I am seriously considering starting another kit in one of my other 7's. (Posted over a month ago)

It has been tough getting these seeds going (unlike other sets). I have a 7-pod aerogarden and my first planting got 3 pods going strong, 2 were no-shows and 2 had really weak seedlings that eventually died. Contacted Aerogarden and they generously sent a new set and I have replanted. Still working to get all 7 pods going. The original 3 have set flower; they are about 4" tall). Waiting to see if they set fruit. (Posted over a month ago)

Unfortunately we've been very disappointed with this seed kit. While the plant started well, it produced only 1 tomato in 2.5 months. The plant died despite consistent watering and nutrients. Would not recommend. (Posted over a month ago)
Customer Service Response:
HI TG - Sorry you had trouble with the Mighty Minis. When you have trouble or problems with a plant or seed kit, please take advantage of Customer Service to get some help! The Might Minis tested consistently well in our Lab and have been enthusiastically received by customers. Some problems with plants, with this kit or any other, can be symptomatic of something else - that's one reason why it's good to give us a chance to have a conversation about it.

While I want for this garden to produce, I'm disappointed. I'm admitting to being a newbie when it comes to Aerogardens. I've been babying this garden for over 4 months for 4 lil tomatoes. They were awesome tomatoes, but still. I've been the busy bee; done the shaking the plant. Maybe this particular variety can't hang in South Texas heat? (Posted over a month ago)

So nice to have a plant just take off and start setting flowers. So many flowers. Already seeing little tomatoes. Have the tall garden, but won't need the extra height. Don't hesitate to order this one.
