Bought an Ultra in December. A Lady Bug and Bumble Bee in February and April another Ultra. I can't get over how some seeds germinate in just two days. Very impressed. I grew herbs from December to the end of March and decided to try the starter system. I thought cleaning out the Ultra would be a mess. Not at all. Rinsed everything off and that was it. Now we did use distilled water the whole time so maybe that made a difference. These are so awesome! (Posted over a month ago)

I am new to this, so I just started a week ago. My pump was so quiet I was worried it wasn't working, and I accidently reset it 2 days into the grow cycle. Anyway, it is working fine and my plants are all doing well. I am looking forward to the fruits of the "labor" (not laborious at all!) (Posted over a month ago)

I have two Ultras. I have never owned any other Aerogarden. They have both been producing for 60 days. I have various lettuces in one and herbs in the other. I have to harvest just about every day if I want to keep the lights on the lowest setting. We have plenty of lettuce for salads and sandwiches, but I'm feeding only two adults. I can get 2 small bowls of salad every day. I prune the herbs hard, too, and have more than I can possibly use. I have taken to just chopping and putting a big mix of whatever I have into just about everything I cook. I bought the spring loaded pruning shears and use them every day. Both gardens really require me to add water every day. I can add 16 ounces every day to top them off. The water reminder has never triggered. I guess I don't let it get low enough. To make the lettuce and herbs "crisp" and last longer in the fridge, I put them in a big bowl, add a couple tablespoons of water, shake them around and then drain the water off and put them in the fridge. Without this, they wilt. My opinion is that you don't need any special herb keeper or salad keeper. I don't especially like the mustard/spicy taste of some of the lettuces. I'm glad I tried them, but when I reorder I'm going to just get the salad greens pods. The baby greens pods and chinese cabbageare not good producers and the produce can be tough. The arugula is a rapid grower, even when heavily pruned and tries to force me to raise the lights, but I resist. I start my outdoor garden plants by lining them up around the outsides of the Aerogardens so that they get the benefit of all the light. I also have two large potted tomato plants that I sit in a chair next to the table the Aerogarden Ultras are on and they are producing tomatos off the light. My electric bill jumped about $10 (it seems) as these things put out enough light to be a homing beacon for a satellite. They are pretty quiet, but not silent. (Posted over a month ago)

I am a hobby gardener and know a couple of clients who have ourchased gardens. I was impressed at the ease of use and cleaning as well ad reliability. I decided to buy the Ultra model and have enjoyed each day watching the impressive growth of my herbs. I also ordered a pack of the reflective mylar shades and am astounded how the growth rate is SIGNIFICANTLY increased. Highly recommend it as its worth the price. I cant wait to stat my veggie garden for outside and tomatoes/peppers also inside this season. I live in a small condo, can increase the amount of plants I can grow and absolutely love this product. I had one issue with two seed pods but the customer service rep gladly shipped replacements which arrived within 7 days.

This is my first AeroGarden. I was going back and forth on which model to buy. I thought the MyGarden display would be nothing special and kind of a waste. But, then, I took the plunge. What convinced me to purchase the Ultra, considering the extra cost was all of the improvements which were made. I read the 100 improvements information more than a few times to finally determine that this was the best machine for me. AeroGrow did a great job of designing this machine and the quality is great. It's really nice to be able to buy something that well-made and lives up to the hype. My wife was very skeptical that the AeroGarden would perform as well as the photos. Now, after using it for over 2 weeks, I think my garden looks just as good, if not better, than any of the photos that I have seen on the AeroGarden website. Buy this one, you won't be disappointed. Santa brought me a GARDEN!!!!! Hooray!! This was SO easy to set up (directions are pretty clear) and I have high hopes for tomatoes in a few months. That being said, the trellis was broken when I pulled it out of the box. That is the only reason for the four stars. I plan on making contact with customer service in the morning to see if I can get that part replaced. The unit takes up about as much counter space as my kitchenaid mixer. It looks "nice and neat" and blends right in with my other "traditional" potted plants living in my kitchen. I ordered the tomato grow pack. It has two plant "pods". I was expecting more pods, but after reviewing the photos of other gardens growing tomatoes it appears that two is the proper number at one time in this machine. I love the fact the garden will tell me when to water and feed it and the timer will turn the lights off and on. I get to just sit back and enjoy the show! Just FYI, the light coming from the garden is BRIGHT and must stay on 16 hours a day (in the begining) for the tomatoes. You can adjust the time the garden turns on and off.
