The lights in all AeroGardens have a built-in cycle that controls the number of hours they will be on and off for different kinds of plant (click here to see the cycles for the Aerogaraden 7s, and here for the AeroGarden 3 and 6s). You can't change the cycles (although you can override them - see below) but you can control when the grow lights go on or when they go off. Here are instructions for setting the on or off times for the different AeroGarden models.
To set the lights on the AeroGarden Classic 7, Deluxe, Pro Series, Elite, Extra, Extra Elite, Classic 6, 6 Elite, 6 Elite+, and Veggie Pro:
Setting the "On" time
- Make sure the lights are on (if they are off, push the "Lights" button to turn them on. Lights must be on to reset the timer.)
- With the lights on, press and hold the “Lights” button until the light next to the plant type you selected starts blinking – several seconds - and continue holding it down until it starts blinking faster.
- Release the button.
- The AeroGarden's lights will temporarily shut off, and after several seconds will come back on. The AeroGarden is now set to come on at this time every day.
Setting the "Off" time:
-
Make sure the lights are on (if they are off, push the "Lights" button to turn them on).
-
With the lights on, press and hold the "Lights" button until the light next to your plant selection begins to blink - several seconds.
-
The instant the light begins to blink, release the "Lights" button.
-
After several seconds, the grow lights will go off, and will go off at this exact same time every night until reprogrammed.
