AeroGrow nutrients are specially formulated to work well with any plant you can grow in the AeroGarden. They are made up of naturally-occurring mineral salts that provide calcium, nitrogen, iron, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium and zinc plus an organic compound which supercharges the root's abililty to absorb all the nutrients that plants need for great growth. Our nutrient blend is the result of many years of research and development and the exact ingredients are proprietary.
Basic nutrient instructions call for you to feed your AeroGarden plants every two weeks by pouring the recommended amount directly into the AeroGarden water bowl. The amount of nutrient to use is specified on the nutrient packets, but if you have trouble reading the small print, click here for a feeding table.
For even better growth, we recommend that every other feeding (once a month) you perform a Rinse and Refill to restore the ideal nutrient balance.
A Better Way To Feed Your AeroGarden Plants
Your plants will grow just fine with the regular two-week feeding schedule, but for even better growth consider mixing 8ml of nutrient in a gallon of water for herbs, lettuce and flowers, or 11 ml of nutrient in a gallon of water for vegetables, and using that mixture instead of plain water to top up your AeroGarden between Rinse-and Refills. Most living things are healthier if they "graze" frequently instead of bingeing intermittently!
