When the power goes off unexpectedly, especially if there was an associated power surge (such as during a thunderstorm), the AeroGarden may lose its programming, and either revert back to default settings or cycle erratically. To correct this you will need to perform a “factory reset”, a simple procedure that will usually restore the AeroGarden’s ability to hold its settings.
To Perform a Factory Reset on All AeroGarden 6s
- Choose a plant selection (anything except "Strawberries", "Live Plants", or "Advanced Featux-res") Press and hold the “Select” button for several seconds, until the selection lights begin to circle around. (The grow lights will also go off and come back on.)
- When the lights begin to circle, immediately release the “Select” button and then quickly press and release the “Reset” button. Do not hold down the "reset" button when the lights begin to circle!
- If the reset was successful, the selection will revert to “Tomatoes/Peppers” and the “Add nutrient” light will flash three times.
To Perform a Factory Reset on AeroGarden 3-pod Models
- Press and hold the “Reset” or the "Lights" button (your AeroGarden 3 will have one or the other). As you continue holding, the “Add Nutrients” light will blink 3 times, then the “Replace Grow Bulbs” light will blink 3 times.
- When both lights begin blinking at the same time, release the “Reset” button and then immediately push and release it again.
- Your 3-pod AeroGarden has now been reset!
Occasionally, especially if the AeroGarden was not plugged into a surge protector, an internal fuse will blow and your AeroGarden will lose all functionality. If the factory reset does not restore your settings, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-476-9669.
