Diagnostic Test (to check pump, panel lights, and grow lights):

Press and hold the "Select" button for 10-12 seconds, which will start the diagnostic test. During the test, the panel lights, grow lights, and pump will come on and then off if they are working properly.  


Factory Reset (AeroGarden Classic 7s mid-2007-present):

1. Press and hold the "Select" button
2. When selection light begins to circle release "Select" button
3. Quickly press the "Reset" button
   

 Factory Reset with Battery (AeroGarden Classic 7s 2006-2007: battery is under the base)

1. Unplug the garden
 
2. Remove the battery
3. Replug the garden
4. Replace battery  
   

Replacement battery: CR2032 3-volt Lithium battery (standard watch battery).
 
Classic gardens with lithium batteries may begin to experience some strange symptoms once the battery begins to die. Some of these symptoms include the garden resetting itself to the "Tomatoes/Peppers" setting and not being able to change the setting afterward, and an inability to retain programmed light/pump cycles.
